Pedestrians become victims in Glendale accident

When people are involved in an unexpected accident in California, they and their families can have a difficult time dealing with the immediate and long-term consequences of their injuries. Confronting the physical, emotional and financial hardships associated with accident injuries can be difficult enough, but knowing that the painful incident in question could have been avoided is often the heaviest burden for victims and their loved ones to carry.

Several people were standing at a bus stop in Glendale, California, in the late afternoon hours when they were reportedly struck from behind by a vehicle. The incident reportedly occurred at the beginning of a recent holiday weekend, and prompted emergency response from several agencies. One child suffered injuries in the incident, and four of the six accident victims required medical treatment at area hospitals. There was no word on whether the driver of the vehicle was injured in the collision as well.

According to witnesses at the site of the accident, the people were standing at the bus stop and did not see the vehicle approaching them from behind. The car reportedly hit the pedestrians after crossing through a parking lot and barrier of hedges. The speed at which the vehicle was moving was not stated. Nor was it known if drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

Accident victims and their families have the right to seek compensation for painful injuries, financial losses and emotional difficulties. That is why potential personal injury claimants have the right to speak to an attorney any time.
