Oceanside accident injures 3

A large majority of car accidents occur at intersections, where motorists often become confused over or simply ignore road safety guidelines regarding right-of-way policies. In such instances, determining fault in an injury incident can go a long way to prove liability for potential personal-injury claims. That is why accurately identifying the factors that contributed to the cause a car accident can be so important all parties involved.

A multi-injury car accident occurred recently in Oceanside when an SDG&E utility truck struck a car late in the evening. The car was reportedly turning left off the highway when the accident occurred, and witnesses claimed that the car was proceeding out of turn. Though, it was not clear if the intersection featured a stop sign or traffic signal. Authorities were reportedly investigating the incident.

A person that was riding as a passenger in the utility vehicle was transported by ambulance to an area hospital for medical treatment, and his or her injuries were not expected to be life-threatening. Both the drivers of the SDG&E truck and car were airlifted from the scene of the accident and admitted to area hospitals as well. However, there was no word on the type or severity of their injuries.

It was not stated whether alcohol and/or speed may have been factors in the head-on collision, or how long the investigation was expected to take. Accident victims and their families often endure physical, emotional and financial difficulties. Speaking with an attorney can help to navigate the legal process and pursue damages.
