Pit bulls escape fence to attack California woman

Pit bulls are often viewed as aggressive dogs. When you hear a dog bite story in the news, it seems as if pit bulls are often behind the attack. Part of this may stem from the fact that pit bulls have the tendency to be strong; this means that when a pit bull does bite a human, the resulting injuries could be very severe. For this reason, it is important for pit bull owners in California to keep a careful eye on their pets.

Two pit bulls escaped a fence and attacked a woman in Riverside. Law enforcement officials believe one of the dogs may have squeezed under the fence in order to escape. There are also reports that the dogs jumped the fence before attacking her. An animal services director said that it is important that dog owners have suitable enclosures on their property.

The woman received dog bite injuries to her face and her right arm from both dogs; these injuries left her in serious condition. The attack occurred while the woman was walking her own small dog; that dog survived the incident. The two pit bulls, on the other hand, will be euthanized with the permission of their owner. Before they are put down, however, they will be tested for rabies. According to local authorities, one of the dogs was not vaccinated for rabies.

If you are a victim of a dog attack, you may be entitled to compensation for your pain and suffering. You may want to contact a lawyer to discuss your legal options.
