California pileup accident kills one man, injures many more

An accident that occurs on a busy California highway can easily spin out of control. All it takes is one negligent driver to cause an accident that involves multiple vehicles and kills or injures many innocent people.

Law enforcement officials do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved in a fatal pileup accident that occurred on California’s Highway 120, although the collision is still under investigation. The car accident, which involved two semi-trucks and four other vehicles, killed one man and injured several others.

The crash claimed the life of a 53-year-old man who was driving a Chevrolet. His vehicle became wedged under a semi-truck during this disastrous chain of events. The pileup began when a Dodge was rear ended by the semi-truck while it was stopped for traffic; the truck was traveling at approximately 50 miles per hour. The driver of the Dodge sustained moderate injuries. The truck then barreled into the Chevrolet.

After the Chevrolet was struck by the truck, it collided with a Buick. The two passengers in the Buick suffered moderate injuries while the driver was seriously injured. Continuing this chain of events, the Buick crashed into a second semi-truck and finally a Kia. The driver of the Kia sustained minor injuries. Neither of the truck drivers were injured in the accident.

If you are the victim of a serious auto accident, you may be entitled to compensation for your pain and suffering. You may want to contact an attorney to discuss your legal options.
