Multi-vehicle crash in California critically injures 3

California is notorious for heavy traffic and freeway delays. When a car accident occurs, drivers and passengers sometimes find themselves stuck on the road for several hours. In a recent pileup accident, the road was close for more than three hours. That long wait was just a minor inconvenience when compared to the situation of the people involved in the accident.

A man was on the side of the Antelope Valley Freeway talking to California Highway Patrol officers when he witnessed a man driving a white pickup truck southbound in northbound lanes. He claims that he was almost hit by the truck right before it was involved in a car accident. A man with the CHP stated that they suspect that alcohol and drugs may have played a role in this serious accident. The driver of the pickup truck has reportedly undergone a sobriety test although the results of that test are still unknown.

According to CHP, at least eight vehicles were involved in this accident. The Los Angeles County Fire Department reports 1 of the car accident victims was flown to the hospital that a total of 12 people were treated at various area hospitals for injuries. Three people sustained critical injuries and three other people were also involved in the accident but did not require medical treatment.

Due to the reckless actions of one negligent driver, at least 15 people have been affected. They now face various medical bills, car repairs, and other damages. If you are the victim of a serious car accident, it is important that you preserve your legal rights. An attorney may be of assistance in this area.
