Eight dogs under investigation for attack in Los Angeles

A pet owner is responsible for ensuring the safety of all people who come into contact with their animal. If a dog is prone to attacking humans, the owner must ensure that the dog is controlled at times when people could be near. This may include leashes, fences, or other restraining measures. When dog owners fail to live up to this responsibility, a serious dog attack may occur.

Eight dogs are currently being tested to see if they were involved in an attack on a 63-year-old woman. The dogs, six pit bulls and two mixed breeds, were removed from their home in Los Angeles by authorities after the attack occurred. Neighbors who live near the home report that the dogs have attacked others. The dogs may be euthanized if the woman’s DNA or bite marks on her body are a match for them..

The 63-year-old woman was recently attacked by multiple dogs on a morning walk. A police officer also reported that the dogs attacked another officer and the car of the driver who called 911. The woman received multiple injuries when she was allegedly dragged 50 yards by the dogs; one of her arms was torn from her body and she also sustained injuries to her scalp. The victim later died from the injuries she sustained.

If a dog bites or otherwise injures someone, the owner could be liable in court. If you have been injured in an animal attack, you may be entitled to compensation for medical bills and pain and suffering. A lawyer may be able to help.
