Car chase leads to a deadly crash in Los Angeles

When people behave recklessly on the road, they sometimes think they are only putting their own lives at risk.  This is true of driving under the influence of alcohol, breaking the speed limit, running a red light, and a host of other unsafe behaviors. This thinking cannot be further from the truth, however. When a driver acts negligently they are risking the safety and well-being of everyone around them.

A 30-year-old man was killed in a car accident in South Los Angeles when his car was hit in a head-on collision. The accident was the result of a car chase between a silver Pontiac and a black Charger. The chase, which allegedly began after a drive-by shooting, involved speeding and driving on the wrong side of the road. Due to the reckless actions of both drivers, eight cars and one bicycle were involved in this serious accident. One of the cars involved was a pickup truck, which flew 70 feet after the Charger slammed into it. Not only did an innocent man lose his life, but also several other people were injured and required treatment at a local hospital.

Although car chases are not uncommon, this kind of reckless driving is always a bad idea.  Car chases often end with a serious car accident that involves other drivers and pedestrians. These innocent people may receive serious injury due to the negligence of the drivers involved in the car chase. If you or a loved one has sustained damages due to the actions of another driver, you have the right to receive compensation for your pain and suffering. A lawyer may be of assistance in this area.
