Motorcyclist injured in hit-and-run crash in Studio City

A motorcyclist suffered a broken leg and other injuries during a hit-and-run accident that occurred in Studio City. According to Los Angeles police, the motorcyclist was heading northward along Ventura Boulevard when a Porsche Cayenne veered into the motorcyclist's lane. The collision then forced the motorcycle into a power pole.

The motorcyclist was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was listed in stable condition. There is no report yet as to an arrest having been made.

Because of the type of vehicle driven by the individual responsible for this crash, it's likely that law enforcement investigators will eventually locate and arrest the driver. However, there is always the chance that the driver will never be located, and this can place the injured person in a difficult position.

For whatever reason, insurance companies responsible for payments in the event of a hit-and-run accident are not always willing to pay out amounts that would adequately compensate the victim. Under these circumstances, it is often good for victims to have a personal injury attorney on their side that can negotiate with insurance carriers.

In some circumstances, lawyers can also locate the responsible party through independent investigation. In the event that this does occur, a lawsuit can then be instituted against the other driver.

Nevertheless, even when the other party is located and even held accountable, there may be other parties that are responsible for paying medical expenses, lost wages, and compensation for pain and suffering as well. Victims deserve this compensation as motorcycle accidents like the one mentioned above can result in great injury.
